Annual Thermal Management of the Photovoltaic Module to Enhance Electrical Power and Efficiency Using Heat Batteries

Several studies state that phase change material (PCM) improves the electrical power and efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) module. To find suitable PCM for tropical climatic conditions, multi-PCMs are examined simultaneously with melting temperatures 31 °C, 35 37 42 °C. In this study, containers integrated behind PV module a thickness 50 mm. The performance multi PV-PCMs is monitored year-round compared PV-noPCM. experimental results show selected four PCMs performed cooling process autonomously in all climates, such as temperature °C enhanced higher rate summer, same failed to achieve winter. lowest drop was noted pre-monsoon monsoon seasons due low irradiance. On other hand, highest 16.33 observed pre-summer (March) 15.7 17.14 summer (April) present investigation highlight requirement choosing proper based on optimal performance. Further, it recommended single modules climates inappropriate, instead, cascaded structure different recommended.
